Kuala Lumpur community
There are currently 116 members of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries living and/or working in Kuala Lumpur. This community has been set up to bring together these members in a virtual environment for the purposes of:
- sharing information;
- enabling online discussions; and
- developing professional networking opportunities.
This is an open community which any member can join. Members of local actuarial associations are also welcome to join and participate in the community.
All members are invited to upload documents of interest to the document library, and to initiate and participate in online discussions.

Meeting with the Chief Executive and Director of Education - 8 September 2011 This meeting was one of a number of events held in SE Asia in August/September 2011 at which Derek Cribb, Acting CEO, and Trevor Watkins, Director of Education, presented the new strategy which sets the direction for the Profession over the next five years. Download the strategy document here. Derek and Trevor were keen to hear members' views on the proposals around international member support and education, on which more work is being done.
