Welcome to the Resource and Environment Member Interest Group community (REG MIG) where members can participate in current activities and discuss the implications of environmental and resource contraints for actuarial practice, and ideas for promoting sustainable development.

We are seeking to build a library of research relevant to actuarial practice which will focus on all key aspects of sustainability.  Such topics would include peak oil and energy issues and their potential impact upon the economy and financial institutions, as well as other resource constraints.  Risks presented by a reduction in biodiversity loss, acidification and climate change would also be included.  Visitors to our community are invited to add to our library using the tool on the right hand of the screen.
