How to get to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries at Staple Inn

Staple Inn Hall is situated in High Holborn, immediately outside Chancery Lane underground station and behind the black-and-white Tudor-style building.

Access is through the archway between the shop fronts which takes you into the courtyard. The entrance to Staple Inn Hall is via door No 1 in the far right-hand corner of the courtyard. The entrance to the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' main reception is via door No 2 in the centre of the right-hand side of the courtyard.

Public transport

Staple Inn Hall is immediately outside the south side exit of Chancery Lane tube station on the Central Line. Chancery Lane tube station is closed on Sundays.

The nearest main line stations are Kings Cross and St Pancras. Staple Inn is within easy walking distance (10 minutes) of Farringdon and Thameslink - Holborn stations.

Bus routes include numbers: 8, 17, 242, 25, 45, 341, 243, 501, 521.

Parking

It is not recommended that you travel to Staple Inn by car as parking facilities are very limited. The nearest NCPs are on Saffron Street, just off Farringdon Road (10 minutes walk from Staple Inn) and Shoe Lane (5 minutes walk from Staple Inn)

Weekend parking

Parking restrictions are lifted on single yellow lines at 19.00 and on parking meters at 13.30 hours.

Bicycles and motorcycles

Please note that there are no facilities for parking bikes or motorcyles in the grounds of Staple Inn, and bikes should not be chained to the railings or any other street furniture. For details of the locations of free cycle parking, please visit the Corporation of London website.
