Donald Duval is Chief Actuary at Aon Consulting. He is an international expert in pension and investment issues, having been Australian Government Actuary from 1991 to 1996, and having advised on pension reform in Hungary, Zimbabwe, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and South Korea. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in London, a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries in America.
He has written numerous papers and articles on pensions issues, is a regular speaker at pensions conferences, and has also appeared on radio and television. He is one of the leading figures in the UK pensions industry, being particularly involved in discussions with Government on pensions policy and legislation. Until June 2008, he was a member of the Main Committee of the Association of Consulting Actuaries. He has been Chairman of the Occupational Pensions Joint Working Group and President of the Society of Pensions Consultants.
