Keith Bevan joined Standard & Poor's in 2007 as a Director, Insurance Ratings, based in Canary Wharf. He has a specialist role in assessing the Enterprise Risk Management capabilities of (re)insurers across Europe. He is also a lead member of the project team reviewing the Economic Capital Models of insurers globally and a member of the project that is developing ERM reviews for non-financial companies. Other previous roles include Capital Management Actuary at Swiss Re (L&H UK), Group Risk Manager at Standard Life and Head of Life Risk at the former Abbey Life companies.
Keith’s role ensures that he sees what is happening in Europe with the biggest companies as well as the UK perspective. The importance of this will increase as we move towards Solvency II implementation. Keith’s role is, indeed, broader than Europe and encompasses a global perspective; for example he is regularly a member of committees that review the ERM capabilities of companies in North America and Asia.
