Roger Dix

Roger Dix is head of Group Insurance and Investment risk at HBOS, based in London. As such, he is responsible for the Group’s second line of defence for insurance risk in both the Life and general insurance operations of HBOS. Prior to this, he has had a varied actuarial career, including spells at Canada Life UK as Appointed Actuary, and 6 years based in Zurich as head of finance for the Life and Health reinsurance in Europe, Asia and Latin America for Swiss Re. He is actively involved in Solvency II work, and sees it as a natural outcome from the current focus on ERM. He chairs the Professionalism Awareness Committee and in that role is a member of the Professional Regulation Executive Committee.
