With a little over two years before the scheduled implementation of the Solvency II regime, the theme of this year’s GIRO conference is “Actuarial impact – rising to the challenge”. Whatever area of general insurance you work in, it is inevitable that Solvency II will have some impact on your day-to-day working life; are you ready to rise to the challenge of the changing regulatory landscape? Our programme is packed with technical research, practical and general sessions and will include, once again, a number of guest speakers. As always, GIRO promises to be the premier professional event for UK general insurance actuaries and will offer an unrivalled opportunity to meet other industry professionals and practitioners.

Cancellation of a conference place must be made in writing and will be subject to an administrative charge of 20%. Any cancellations advised after Monday 20 September 2010 will not be refunded. A colleague may attend in your place but, we will need written confirmation of this.
A limited number of bursary places are available for those who are not in remunerative employment, or who work within a university.
