Implications of the TASs for insurance actuaries, Birmingham

10 May 2011 17:00 to 18:30

Registration: 17.00 - 17.30

Programme: 17.30 - 18.30

The Insurance TAS, issued in November 2010, will make much actuarial work concerning insurance subject to new formal technical standards. These standards cover how data should be treated, how models should be shown to be fit for purpose and how the results of the work should be reported.

This meeting will explore the implications of the TASs for the work carried out by actuaries working in life and health insurance. We have a representative from BAS to set the scene and then practitioners who have already considered and started implementing the changes required will share their experiences.
