Registration 09.00 - 09.30

Programme 09.30 - 16.50

Why attend?

Mortality and longevity underpin some of the most topical issues in the life and insurance sectors - from de-risking through to Test Achats. This seminar will explore these topical issues, majoring on the practical issues currently facing our industry.

Who should attend?

The seminar is aimed at all actuaries in the life and pensions industries. The pervading theme of the day will be the exploration and understanding of ‘hot topics’ in the mortality and longevity arena. The majority of the sessions will focus on practical issues including:

  • the practical issues in longevity de-risking
  • the impact of impaired annuities
  • gender discrimination on the life and pensions industries
  • how actuaries can use information from other disciplines.

The day will include some more technical sessions, including looking at the challenges facing actuaries in modelling and the uncertainty in mortality and longevity.
