Why attend?

The Royal Statistical Socierty is the UK's independent statistical learned society and professional body.  In this talk, David Hand, President of the Royal Statistical Society will describe the work of the Society and outline its various and distinct roles.  The talk includes information on Society's imminent ten-year statistical literacy campaign and the aims of an initial collaboration between the Actuarial Profession and the Society.  The extent of statistical training within the actuarial syllabus is examined, and the potential for partnering with the Society will also be explored.

This talk is open to all members and non members with an interest in the topic.
