Open Forum: Irish issues in the general insurance market

This Open Forum is aimed at actuaries interested in finding out the latest within the Irish general insurance market. Although aimed at keeping actuaries who sign Statements of Actuarial Opinions up to date with Irish issues, the session will be of interest to anyone who would like to know more about the market.

Tony Jeffery, the Deputy Head of Insurance Supervision at the Financial Regulator, will provide an overview of the working of the Financial Regulator, including work on Solvency II implementation.

Karl Murphy will provide a summary of the changes made to ASP-GI2 and ASP-GI3, including a discussion on how to treat uncertainty within SAO reports. He will also provide a brief summary of the statistics coming from the latest Blue Book.
