2012 is an important year in the development of European Regulation for the Insurance and Pensions sectors. Omnibus II is scheduled to be debated in the European Parliament, the detailed Solvency II Level 2 text will be finalised while regulation is being developed for Pension Scheme solvency. Karel van Hulle as Head of Unit for Insurance and Pensions at the European Commission holds a unique position at the heart of the negotiations on European Regulatory Reform. Always an engaging and enlightening speaker, he will providing his perspective on the progress of these reforms.
