Seamus Creedon

Seamus Creedon

Seamus Creedon is a consultant to clients of KPMG and to others, following a career in life assurance and banking in Britain and Ireland, culminating in leadership of the KPMG UK financial sector actuarial practice. Member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and of bodies in the US and Canada.

Seamus was a pioneer in the very successful development of bancassurance in Ireland, and he is a strong believer in the potential for actuaries - individually and collectively - to make a much broader contribution to financial services management than has historically been the case. He recently led a working party with the objective of reconciling concepts of risk and capital assessment across banking and life and general insurance. He is a member of the Groupe Consultatif project team addressing Solvency II and is also a member of the Financial Risks Committee of the International Actuarial Association.
