Current work:

  • I am responsible for sales and ongoing relationships with a number of European institutions that are managing hedge funds. As a result I am at the heart of this part of the fast-growing alternative investment industry and deal with investors, managers, suppliers and academics.

Other comments:

  • I have always been a generalist, and have kept my options open as I have moved well and truly into the 'wider fields'. I have taken my broad understanding of the actuarial client base and techniques and used it to improve understanding and relationships in businesses that are not traditionally seen as 'actuarial'. I have continually had to challenge the perception that actuaries are back-room experts in obscure mathematical analysis rather than rounded finance professionals.
