UK asbestos working party
The remit of this working party is to investigate asbestos related claims, collect UK based data, investigate trends and react accordingly. It has been operating since 2008.
Objectives:-
- Continue to collect UK market data on a yearly basis
- Comparing trends in survey data against market estimates and react accordingly
- To maintain contact with key individuals and organisations such as the HSE, Prof. Peto, etc.
- To understand and respond legal and/or industry developments affecting asbestos related claims in the UK
- If a new market estimate is required to develop and make available, a population/insurance claim projection models for asbestos related claims
