The Gallio Club was founded in 1903 and meets six times in each session (July to June) after the Institute and Faculty sessional meeting held at Staple Inn, in a restaurant local to Staple Inn
By tradition the Club plays host to the authors of the evening's paper, the opener and closer, and the Institute's official guests. On some occasions the club invites an external guest as an after dinner speaker; on others the authors of the evening’s paper are asked to speak further on the topic of the discussion
Membership is by proposal by an existing Club member or by invitation
The Club is seeking to expand its membership and the Secretary would be pleased to hear from actuaries who are interested in joining the Club.
