All the libraries offer quiet comfortable study space. Past exam papers, examiners' reports, ActEd course notes and Core Reading are all available for reference.

- The collection of the Ross library at Maclaurin House in Edinburgh consists of some 6000 volumes on actuarial and related topics, and approximately 100 current periodical and serial titles. The Ross Library maintains sets of the journals of overseas actuarial bodies, together with other current mathematical, statistical and insurance research journals and papers. Its historical serials include bound volumes of Post Magazine (1848-1982), Post Magazine Almanack (1847- ) and the Insurance Record (1872-1930).

- The Norwich Library at Napier House in Oxford aims to acquire core information on actuarial science together with information on insurance (life and non-life), reinsurance, pensions, employee benefits, social security, investment, corporate finance, health and care and other new areas into which actuaries are moving. The library also acquires statistical publications on demography, economic indicators and market information. The majority of the library's materials are in English, although other languages are represented.
