This is a Heriot-Watt University Students' Actuarial Society event.

Heriot-Watt University Students' Actuarial Society would like to formally invite you to our 'Annual Actuarial Conference' held in James Watt Centre 1 on Wednesday 10 February 2016 at 15.00.

Our conference has become an increasingly prominent event on the calendars of both students and professionals alike, with a number of distinguished guest speakers discussing intriguing and topical issues that actuaries face. The theme for this year is "Breaking Boundaries", with scheduled topics covering:

  • Aviation Risk - presented by Dr Gordon Woo of Risk Management Solutions Inc.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions - presented by Naomi Burger of Deloitte
  • How Emerging Technology Helps Insurance Companies with Data Analytics -  Presented by Dan Jeremyn of Royal Bank of Scotland.

This is a great opportunity to keep up to date with some of the current issues facing our industry, and we look forward to welcoming you all.
