EXD73 (GN5): The prudential supervision outside the UK of long-term insurance business

In May 2006, when responsiblity for the majority of the Actuarial Profession's Guidance Notes (GNs) was transferred to the Board for Actuarial Standards (BAS), a few of the GNs remained with the Profession for a variety of reasons. GN5 The prudential supervision outside the UK of long-term insurance business is one such GN.

GN5 has now been revised to ensure it is up to date and an exposure draft (EXD73) is being published for consultation with members under Due Process. EXD73, showing all the proposed changes as tracked changes, is available for downloading below. A covering letter from the Life Board Chairman, which includes details of how to comment on the EXD, is also available below.
