Consultation on changes to the CPD scheme

The Actuarial Profession has today issued a Consultation Paper on proposed changes to the current Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Scheme.

In the longer term we will need to consider a new approach including, probably, a move towards outputs-based CPD. However, more urgently, we need to make some changes to the existing Scheme to address some of the issues which have become apparent over its lifespan. Our intention, after considering the feedback, is to introduce changes in time for the CPD year, which runs from 1 July 2010.

The consultation period ends on 10 May 2010. Copies of the Consultation Paper can be downloaded from the Professions website here.
