Elections for Faculty Council
2 April 2010
Dear Member
At the Special General Meeting of the Faculty of Actuaries in Scotland held on Monday 15 March 2010, the Faculty passed a resolution to temporarily suspend Rules 9 c), d) and f) and to amend Rule 9 e) of the Bye-laws of the Faculty. These rules set out the procedure for inviting nominations for election to the position of Ordinary Members of Council.
As highlighted in the notice, the driving force behind the resolution was one of pragmatism in light of the impending merger vote on 25 May 2010. Council also gave an undertaking that, should election to Council be required, then the candidates would include nominations received from the membership.
This email therefore serves to invite you to nominate candidates for election as Ordinary Members of Council should an election be held in June 2010.
If you know of a Fellow whom you wish to nominate please do so by completing the link at http://www.actuaries.org.uk/NominationForm2010.doc
Please contact the Faculty Secretary if you have any queries on this process richard.maconachie@actuaries.org.uk.
