The MIG promoted the discussion and exchange of comment and research relevant to the product area generally known as Variable Annuities.
MEMBERSHIP:
The responsibility for operating the MIG rested in the first instance with the Management Committee. This has been formed from the research parties formed around the VA topics present at the FIERM and Life Convention conferences and comprised the following :

Society of Actuaries. The Society of Actuaries have run annual events focused specifically on the topic of Equity Based Investment Guarantees which includes Variable Annuities among its target areas. The SOA post the relevant handouts from their conferences to a public area and documents are available for 2007 and 2008 at the time of writing.
