Volunteer vacancies logoBut becoming a volunteer isn't just about giving something back to the profession.  Time and time again, volunteers tell us how much they have gained from volunteering, both as a professional and a person, and how happy and proud they are to work with us and their colleagues in this way.

One volunteer's experience

... as Elizabeth Purdy FIA talks about her role as volunteer member of the Momentum Conference Programme Committee.

Many thanks to Elizabeth, and to all our other volunteers, who have given generously of their time and effort to support the profession.  To show our appreciation of the work our volunteers do for us, volunteer recognition pins have been created, which are available for all our active volunteers.  Volunteer recognition parties are held annually in London and Edinburgh.  Photographs from the party held at Staple Inn on 10 July 2012 are available in our photo galleries.

Volunteers - It's your profession

We recognise our volunteers as our profession's greatest asset.  We therefore made volunteering the main theme of the 2011 Annual Report which we have subtitled Volunteers - It's your profession.
