Practising Certificates for Chief Actuaries

You may be aware that the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries recently approved the requirements for members performing the role of Chief Actuary in both life and non-life insurance companies to hold a Practising Certificate. 

In order to give effect to those Practising Certificate requirements, we are pleased to announce that we have launched two consultations:

• one to introduce a new Actuarial Profession Standard to be known as APS G1: The Chief Actuary in Non-Life insurance, and
• the other, to amend APS L1: Duties and responsibilities of Life Assurance Actuaries.
