Exam counselling during summer 2012
19 June 2012Once the results of the April session based exams are released some of you will have been unsuccessful and will want to have exam counselling to help you identify ways to be successful in a future sitting.
The majority of the exam counselling appointments consist of a face-to-face meeting where you have the opportunity to sit down with your script and a counsellor. You are able to go through the script and understand why you were unsuccessful, and also develop your exam technique to try and help you improve your performance.
Most of these meetings take place in Staple Inn but we are being advised that travel in central London over the period of the Olympics and Paralympics will be difficult and significant delays are likely. We have therefore taken a decision that:
- during the Olympics and Paralympics period (27 July to 9 September) there will be NO appointments made for meetings in Staple Inn.
We are unable to increase the number of meetings that we can hold in Staple Inn after 9 September and before the September exams start on 24 September, as there is very limited meeting room availability, so we advise against waiting as you may be disappointed.
We understand that this will be frustrating for many of you and so we have tried to compensate by increasing the number of appointments being held in our Oxford office during this period.
