New booking process and dates for 2011/2012 practical exams

We have increased the number of exams we are running and are managing the demand by bringing the booking for these exams more in line with the other exams, where all the dates will be visible but there will be clearly defined booking periods. We feel that the new process will aid you in planning your studies more effectively and will hopefully reduce concerns over the lack of available places and the waiting times for these practical exams.

There will be four set booking periods in the year, which will allow you to book for practical exams in the specified months. These booking periods are designed to offer the best booking opportunity for all students, whether you are sitting for the first time or retaking the practical exams.

You will be able to apply either online or by downloading an application form and returning it to the Practical Exams Team in Oxford.

The first booking period will open on 17 January 2011.
