The Sustainability Board has set up a Member Interest Group in order to build and share knowledge among IFoA members to expand the profession’s capacity in sustainable development.

The Sustainable Development Goals MIG will work towards the following objectives:

  1. to form either one or multiple study groups with the following target output in its first year:
    • to produce a sustainable development reading list as a source of information for any actuary or student looking to develop their knowledge
    • a group of actuaries and students with a firm basis of knowledge in sustainability
  2. to share regular news and updates on sustainability with others in the MIG via an online forum and the Sustainability monthly newsletter
  3. to raise awareness and understanding of environmental issues across the profession.
