Members of the Committee are:
Graham Farren
Graham is an actuary who until 2010 was head of risk management in Europe for Hewitt Associates having had responsibility for financial services compliance, quality, and risk management issues. As a consulting actuary and partner of Bacon & Woodrow and then Hewitt Associates, Graham held a number of Scheme Actuary appointments for large clients of those firms and several senior management roles. He is also a member of the Disciplinary Scheme Pool.
Brenda Hindley
Brenda has been a member of the DPB Committee since its establishment in 2001. Having qualified as a barrister, she has had a long career in legal education and the administration of the law. Brenda has served as a lay member of several committees associated with the ICAEW, as a chairman of the Residential Property Tribunal Service, as a lay assessor of the General Medical Council performance procedures and as a Tribunal Judge of the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
Malcolm Lee
Malcolm has worked for Towers Watson for over 35 years in a variety of roles that includes analysing technical requirements such as ISO standards and FSA rules and implementing them in a way that is a sensible for the business. He is Global Regulatory Compliance Manager for investment work and in the UK is Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for Towers Watson Limited. For ten years he was a regular speaker on the Financial Services and Markets Act on the Professionalism courses.
Colin Mayger
Colin is a Scheme Actuary and a Partner at the London office of Barnett Waddingham LLP. He is also a Pensions Lecturer on the Actuarial Profession’s Professional Skills Course.”
James Smith
James is one of the Founders of First Actuarial and is the firm’s Compliance Officer. James is a Scheme Actuary and advises Trustees and Employers of occupational pension schemes.
Lindsey Macgregor
Lindsey has been in financial services compliance for almost 20 years and is currently Senior Compliance Officer with Lane Clark & Peacock LLP having previously held compliance roles with Alexander Forbes Consultants & Actuaries and Legal & General Assurance Society. Lindsey is a member of the International Compliance Association.
Steve Barrow
Steve has held senior positions in a variety of regulatory bodies. Most recently he was Director of Standards at Standards for England, having previously been Head of Regulation at The Football Association, Head of Monitoring at the General Insurance Standards Council and Head of Investment Business at the Law Society of England and Wales.
Steve now pursues a portfolio career. He is currently serving a second term as a lay member of the Regulatory Board of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and is the Chairman of the Association’s Appointments Sub-committee. He is also a lay member of the Bar Standards Board’s Professional Conduct and Quality Assurance Committees.
