How do I access and use CMI outputs and publications?
Until 1 March 2013, almost all of the CMI’s outputs - reports, tables and models - have been freely available; formerly via 'Blue Books' and more recently on the open website. These existing publications remain on the open website.
Items of news and brief summaries of the CMI’s work - designed for the public - will continue to be added to the website and be accessible to all.
However the full detail of all future CMI publications - issued by CMI Limited - will only be available to those organisations and individuals who register as users and pay the appropriate fee.
In brief:
- The current CMI webpages remain largely as they were; in particular new outputs will be described on the News page.
- CMI Limited outputs will be situated in a protected area of the Institute and Faculty’s website which is only accessible to logged-in, authorised users.
- Once an organisation has paid the appropriate fee, permissions to the (restricted) parts of the website will be granted for all members of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries who work for that organisation. (For existing financial contributors, we have assumed that the appropriate fee will be received and all member employees have been pre-registered.)

- The use of CMI outputs is subject to Terms and Conditions; of which there are two sets:
- Subscribers. These terms govern the use of CMI Limited outputs by organisations that pay a subscription fee to CMI Limited.
- Academics. These terms govern the use of CMI Limited outputs for non-commercial purposes by academics and CMI committee members (who are not required to pay a subscription fee).
