If you are planning to visit us in person to collect a library book requested or to return one, please let us know in advance so we can arrange this.
As the offices are not offering work or study space, you might apply to use a local university library for a public user card to study there subject to the library’s admissions policy and terms of access. The IFoA Library can provide you with a letter of introduction addressed to the university librarian upon request. University libraries may prioritise study space for their students especially during busier university exam periods.
Books can be requested for loan by post
The standard loan period is one month. Books borrowed by post are sent free of charge but you will be responsible for return postage. Books sent outside of the United Kingdom are loaned for a period of 6 weeks from the date of despatch.
