Candidates have the right to appeal against a decision of the Board of Examiners which affects them.
We would like to reassure candidates that our marking system includes the double blind marking of all scripts. Any scripts that fall within the borderline category are further reviewed by the Examining team and on some occasions by a fourth review, to ensure that you are awarded an accurate grade.
Candidates who are dissatisfied with the grade awarded may wish to consider the examination counselling service instead. This gives candidates an opportunity to review their performance (although not the actual marks awarded) and examination technique. In the unlikely event that an administrative error has occurred, it would be recognised within this process, negating the need for an exam appeal and the exam counselling fee would be reimbursed.
