What do I have to pass to qualify?

To become an Associate, applicants must have passed all the relevant examinations or examination modules, and have completed a learning log showing the acquisition of work-based skills over a three year period.

Admission closing dates

If you wish to enter the examinations you must have been confirmed as an actuarial student, having paid your entrance fees and subscriptions at least two weeks prior to the relevant exam entry closing dates. Admission closing dates are given on the application forms. To become an actuarial student download and complete one of the application forms below.

Students resident in India and New Zealand must submit their applications to their local association. Students based in India are recommended to join the Actuarial Society of India before joining the Faculty or Institute.


Help for overseas students

The Faculty and Institute currently have a reduced rate policy for fees and subscriptions to help members and students in countries outside the UK with very low incomes.

Details of fees and subscriptions are available in the forms below. Applicants must include payment of their entrance fee and annual student subscription with their application. They will also be required to sign a Form of Obligation.
