Some university programmes have been approved by the Actuarial Profession as being of the required standard and quality to be accredited programmes which can lead to blocks of exemptions from the Profession's exams, providing that a suitable overall standard is achieved.

Completing and achieving the required standard on an accredited programme will lead to blocks of exemptions from the Profession’s exams rather than subject by subject exemptions. However, in some circumstances individual module exemptions may be recommended by the Profession’s Independent Examiners.
