Do you hold a non-actuarial degree or diploma with numerate content?

The subject by subject exemption agreements that the Actuarial Profession has with the universities are based on information that they have provided us with. If you are considering applying for one or more programmes on this list, we strongly recommend that you contact the university for further information first.

The Actuarial Profession is unable to advise you on the degree programme, or the programme options, which you need to take. Our best advice is to take the programme where your abilities are the strongest, as actuarial employers are looking for a minimum 2.1 in a numerical degree.

If you hold a non-actuarial degree or diploma from a university in this list, please include the following in your application

  • A completed application form including payment for your exemptions
  • A copy of the transcript of your marks. The transcript must be a certified copy signed by your employer, who should be an actuary.
  • Official evidence that you have completed your degree
  • If relevant, a certified copy of an exemption recommendation letter(s) you have received from your university

If you hold a non-actuarial degree or diploma from a university that is not on this list, please include the following in your application

  • A completed application form including payment for your exemptions
  • Official evidence that you have completed and passed your degree
  • Copies of the syllabuses of the modules you studied – please compare your previous studies to our syllabus as it is important that you show where you have covered our syllabus in your previous studies
  • Copies of the exam papers you sat
  • A copy of the transcript of your marks. The transcript must be a certified copy signed by your employer, who should be an actuary.
