Have you passed a qualification with the Institute of Actuaries of India?

The Faculty and Institute of Actuaries could grant, on the following terms, exemption from their examinations to students who have passed Institute of Actuaries of India examinations.

We do not accept applications for exemption from Subject CT9 or from the Specialist Application subjects.

Institute of Actuaries of India examinations awarded after 1 May 2005

The Faculty and Institute of Actuaries will give exemption to students who have passed Core Technical exams under the previous Institute of Actuaries of India syllabus. Students will be awarded exemption from the corresponding exam under the current syllabus.

Institute of Actuaries of India examinations awarded between November 2000 and 1 May 2005

The Faculty and Institute of Actuaries will give exemption to students who have passed Core Technical exams under the previous Institute of Actuaries of India syllabus. Students will be awarded exemption from the corresponding exam under the current syllabus.

Important information:

• You must have passed all three of the Core Applications subjects, and the two Specialist Technical subjects with the Institute of Actuaries of India before applications for exemptions from the Faculty or Institute of Actuaries will be considered.
• All applications for exemption from Core Applications and Specialist Technical subjects must be made through the Institute of Actuaries of India and will not be accepted if applied for directly to the Actuarial Profession.
