Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary qualification
A list of candidates eligible for the CERA qualification following the September exams will now be published after the first CERA seminar has been held in Spring 2013.
The requirements you need to fulfil for the CERA qualification changed from 1 September 2012.
If you took and passed the ST9 exam after 1 September 2012, you will also need to attend a seminar in order to receive the qualification.
The seminar was one of the recommendations of the CERA Board, when they reviewed the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' CERA qualification. It will enable delegates to investigate and discuss more practical applications of enterprise risk management, which is not possible in the time allowed for the exam.
You must attend the seminar after either passing the ST9 exam, or being granted an exemption.
The first of these seminars will be held in 2013.
