Disclaimer

1. Members of the Institute of Actuaries and the Faculty of Actuaries may give actuarial advice only if they are Fellows of either body. Advice must clearly indicate the identity of the responsible actuary.

2. For the guidance of those seeking advice, each firm is categorised by type. It is emphasised that the categorisation is not meant to indicate that advice obtained from one type of firm is in any way superior to that of another.

3. If an actuary has a conflict of interest or, because of circumstances, he or she is unable to give advice that is unfettered and independent, he or she must either declare this fact to the prospective client or decline to act.

4. This information has been compiled by the Institute of Actuaries and the Faculty of Actuaries. It shows the names of individual actuaries and of firms that include or employ actuaries. The information has been compiled on the basis of questionnaires completed by those seeking inclusion, such inclusion being optional.

5. Particulars of the types of work undertaken have been included as notified by the actuary, firm or company concerned. Neither the Institute nor the Faculty:

  1. gives any endorsement or representation as to the level of experience or competence of the persons concerned when undertaking such types of work;
    or
  2. accepts any responsibility for the consequences of any errors, omissions or mis-statements.
