Bristol Actuarial Society

The Bristol Actuarial Society was founded in 1974. The society aims to provide local opportunities for all members of the Actuarial profession to meet, discuss and debate matters of professional interest. The society has approximately 500 members stretching out from Bristol out to Exeter, Cardiff, Cheltenham and Swindon. Membership of the society is free upon provision of an e-mail address to the Secretary. Typically, the programme of events for the year includes six talks and three social events. Meetings are generally held in Bristol but we have also held meetings in other locations in the past. We are open to joint meetings with other regional actuarial societies and with other organisations, e.g. NAPF, APL, PMI, ABI, CII, SWAPP.

BAS Discussion Forum

We have a lot of ideas for talks and social events during our committee meetings that we’d like to share with members and obtain feedback on. We have set up a discussion forum for that purpose. (Please login using your usual username and password.)

Events 2008/09

All BAS members automatically receive invites to all of our events. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, please send an email to bas@bbs-actuaries.co.uk with the single word 'SUBSCRIBE' in the body.
