The work of the General Insurance Reserving Reporting Group is directed by the following themes:
- horizon scanning and research co-ordination
- education
- communication
- supporting reserving actuaries
The group achieves this both via its working parties and through events. The following events are planned:
- IFRS 17 (December 2018/ January 2019)
- Non-executive directors (NEDs) (March 2019)
- Inflation (July 2019)
- GIRO presentation 2019: C3 Allowing for Qualitative Risk: Reserving and Capital Collide

Membership is drawn from a broad cross-section of the general insurance community to ensure full coverage of all reserving issues
