The South-East Asia community has been set up to bring together Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) members based in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam
There are around 1,000 IFoA members in this vibrant part of the world.
We would welcome anyone with an interest in the actuarial profession in South-East Asia, or with plans to relocate to this region, to get in touch with us.
Mr. Tan Suee Chieh will be presenting about The Future of the Actuarial Profession; What we need to do. He will be sharing his perspectives on digital challenges and opportunities facing us as a society and in the insurance context, and also for us professionally. He will draw on his experience and background in managing change and transformation – on a personal basis and organizationally.

Joint Seminar: Property Insurance
Continuing the success from prior years, the Actuarial Society of Malaysia (ASM), the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS), the Actuaries Institute of Australia (IAAus), and the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) are joining forces to provide a focused two-day seminar for general insurance actuaries and other insurance practitioners in the region.
The main theme of the seminar is Property / Fire Insurance (and Takaful). The seminar is designed to be attractive to a wide range of audiences from university students to experienced professionals, with a focus on emerging issues, new solutions, and innovation.
