The IFoA is pleased to announce that this year’s Autumn Lecture will feature the Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP as its guest speaker.  Nicky has previously served as Financial Secretary to the Treasury and Minister for Women. She now chairs the Treasury Select Committee whose remit is to examine the expenditure, administration and policy of HM Treasury, along with all of its agencies and associated bodies. This includes HM Revenue and Customs, the Bank of England, the Prudential Regulation Authority, and the Financial Conduct Authority.

This event is now full. Please register for the waiting list.

You will be able to live stream this event on the night: Please register here.

At the beginning of this year, the Treasury Select Committee launched a new inquiry into the future of the UK’s financial services once the UK has left the EU. London is the world’s premier financial centre, and Brexit will have a significant and long-lasting impact on the financial services sector.  It will affect the insurance, retail banking and asset management sectors, in the UK, the EU, and potentially the rest of the world.

The UK may choose to converge, seek equivalence, or diverge from the EU. Join us in London on the 2 December as Nicky will examine the risks and rewards of each of these choices in post-Brexit Britain.
