Monday 25 July 2016 17:30 - 19:00

This event will take place at Financial Reporting Council.

At this event the FRC will provide an update on its review of its framework for Technical Actuarial Standards (TASs) and outline the changes it is proposing to make to its Specific TASs. The event will be of particular interest to members and their firms intending to respond to the consultation which closes on 5 August.

At the beginning of May the FRC published a consultation proposing changes to its Specific Technical Actuarial Standards (TASs). The consultation closes on 5 August 2016. The consultation followed the FRC’s consultation: A new framework for Technical Actuarial Standards which included a new generic standard TAS 100 which will replace the existing Generic TASs.

In this event Robert Inglis and Ann Muldoon will provide an update on its TAS review and describe the key changes being proposed in the Specific TAS consultation with the rationale for those changes. They will also outline the risk assessment process which the FRC followed in determining what work should be in the scope of Specific TASs.
