Thursday 16 July 2020 11:00 - 12:00

Free to watch, book below. Following the initial shock of the current crisis and the associated lockdown, insurers should now be looking forward and planning how they will consolidate the learnings from the last few months and position themselves for success. Join us for a panel discussion to discuss the strategic, operational and capital challenges insurers are facing and how careful, considered communication is now more vital than ever. Insurers need to decide if their current products are fit for purpose and how customers access them at a time when those offerings are more needed than ever. Operational challenges have largely been met well to date, and quickly, but the second stage of change will be more difficult to deliver, particularly if home working is maintained.

Capital has largely held up well - a testament to the current regime perhaps – and we are now seeing capital raises, dividend shifts and the initial wave of disposals of non-core assets. Communicating strategically is crucial in such an environment and insurers need to be mindful of their various stakeholders – customers, staff and investors for example – and how any damaged corporate reputations can be re-built whilst simultaneously responding to these current challenges.

Join us for an hour of thoughtful debate amongst senior, experienced industry practitioners. Led by some of FTI Consulting’s sector experts, we are delighted to be joined by Lance Burbidge, Angela Darlington, Allister Fowler, and Graham Handy.
