Full synopsis

Why do some people’s careers seem to plateau whilst others accelerate?  The reason is often down to how we leverage our technical ability by developing our skills in managing relationships.  Those with poor relationship skills may find their careers limited to the scope of their technical expertise, whilst those who invest in developing their relationship skills can rise to broader leadership positions.

Core to successful relationships is the development of our Emotional Intelligence, where we gain insight not just into the make-up of our own emotions but critically the emotional drivers of others.

In this interactive session, our facilitators, Russell Borland, and Thomas Chalmers, Partners of UK-based coaching consulting firm, Leading Figures, will explore how we can enhance our EQ to make the most of our IQ.   They will introduce an Emotional Intelligence framework developed by psychologist Daniel Goleman and provide participants with an opportunity to personally assess their own Emotional Intelligence.  Delegates will be encouraged to identify areas for both their development and future success.
