This talk will provide an overview as to how climate change is impacting the insurance and pensions industry. With speakers Sandy Trust, Senrio Manager in EY'sWealth and Asset Management team, and Ryan Allison, Manager in EY's Investment Advisory team and leads EY's ESG solution for UK insurance.

Our climate is changing and the impact on the insurance and pensions industry is significant. Within the next 20 years it’s no longer safe to assume that individuals will be able to obtain property insurance in California, Cornwall and the Maldives, and that new coal plants will obtain the insurance they need to operate. This talk will provide an overview as to how climate change is impacting the insurance and pensions industry, what firms have done so far, and what happens next!

We will also touch on the professional responsibilities of actuaries and what role they can play in helping to save the planet.
