The IFoA Actuarial Monitoring Scheme is pleased to announce topics for future review that will form part of our Thematic Review Programme. Topics are chosen in areas identified as being of significant public interest, as well as having the potential to provide useful insights into the work of IFoA Members. The Actuarial Review Team will undertake reviews in the following areas:
- Climate-related risk
- Equity release mortgage product design and pricing
- Actuaries as experts in narrower fields (covering a number of areas including Funeral Trusts)
- Corporate pensions advice
Over the coming months the Review Team, in consultation with relevant member groups and regulators, will begin the process of developing the detailed scope of these reviews. The IFoA hopes that the benefits to organisations will include enhanced information about the quality of the actuarial work upon which they rely to make significant decisions.
