The latest issue of the British Actuarial Journal (BAJ) includes discussions on disaster risk, liquidity premium, genetics and more.

The latest issue also includes fascinating insights into genetics from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) Spring Lecture by Prof Robert Winston and equally thought provoking research on aging in the Autumn Lecture by Prof Carol Jagger.

Research carried out by the actuarial profession, the Department for International Development (DFID) and the World Bank on disaster risk financing is discussed in a paper and subsequent abstract from the sessional meeting.

Discussions from other sessional meetings include liquidity premium, long-term care insurance, quantitative approaches to model uncertainty and uncertainty in critical illness insurance.

Members of the IFoA can access the journal by logging into the website.  Non-members can access the content via the British Actuarial Journal homepage.
