The election for the vacant General constituency seats on the IFoA Council opens on 20 May. Voting members in that constituency should look out for an email from Civica Election Services that afternoon, as that email will contain your unique link to cast your vote.

Be sure to cast your vote before voting closes at 12pm on 22 June.

Louise Pryor, IFoA President-elect, said: “All Fellows and Associates have a vote, but many of us fail to use it. This is a shame, because it’s the main opportunity we have to influence the IFoA’s direction.

“Council consists of 30 elected members and makes the major decisions for the profession – it determines the mission, vision and values of the IFoA, sets strategy and oversees its implementation, and decides on major changes of policy. So voting in the Council elections is your chance to make a difference – the decisions Council makes depend crucially on who the Council members are.”

There will be no election for the Scottish constituency this year as just one member, Patrick Kelliher, stood as a candidate: his election to Council will be formally confirmed, alongside the results of the General constituency ballot, at our Annual General Meeting on Thursday 24 June.
