In September the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' (IFoA's) Mortality Research Steering Committee welcomed world class experts to the International Mortality and Longevity Symposium to highlight research and exchange views on mortality projection.
Delegates had the opportunity to hear the insights of eminent speakers from the fields of biogerontology, longevity, health and health data, and mortality forecasting.
One delegate captured the aims of the Symposium perfectly saying "A new language is emerging to explain the transtion from expert knowledge to dependable assumptions for the future".
