Antibiotic Resistance ('ABR') has featured heavily in the news, and has been a particular concern of the nation's Chief Medical Officer.  ABR has the potential to wipe out the future mortality/longevity improvements we might otherwise reasonably expect from general medical/lifestyle advances.  In January 2017 the IFoA set up a working party under the Health and Care Board to model the likely impact of ABR.  The working party presented as a SIAS meeting on 8 May and will also present at a live streamed sessional meeting on 18 June.

On 18 June, members of the working party will present initial findings (including plausible future scenarios and mortality/morbidity impacts), and  describe the prototype model developed so far by the working party.  Book your place for the live stream session, or to attend in person.
